Taste Turkey’s Version of the Baked Potato at Ardmore’s Firinji

If you’ve got an adventurous palate, take a trip to Firinji in Ardmore. This charming and casual Mediterranean eatery was opened by Buno Bodul, a veteran of the hospitality industry who wanted to provide a tasty, affordable alternative to locals.
The trademark food at Firinji is the kumpir, a Turkish-style baked potato smothered with toppings. Cooks pile mashed cheese and mixed beans on top, as well as your choice of meat. The steak kumpir is a fairly popular option, but regulars know that the real hidden gem on the menu is the Tracian burger kumpir with onions and mushrooms.
Other dishes include tasty flatbread wraps like the Mezapotamian burrito and the lamb kebabs, which are perfectly seasoned and not gamey at all. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable, but some patrons complain the wait staff can seem a little distracted. Of course, you can always just get take-out, which is a popular choice.
